Grant access to your Search Console data

This quick guide will walk you through how to securely connect your Google Search Console to our SEO tool, so we can pull in data and provide insights on your site’s SEO performance.

Here's a video showing you how to do it, but written instruction is also available below:

Total time: 2 minutes

Step 1: Access the Service Account Email

Copy the following Google Service account, ready to be added to your search console:

[email protected]

Keep this handy for the next step.

Step 2: Go to Google Search Console

Step 3: Select Your Website Property

  1. In the top-left corner, select the property (your website) that you want to connect.

Make sure you select the domain-level property (e.g., example.com), not just a URL prefix.

Step 4: Open Settings

  1. On the left-hand menu, scroll down and click on Settings.

Step 5: Add the Service Account as a User

  1. In Settings, click on Users and permissions.

  2. Click the Add User button (top-right corner).

  3. Paste the service account email you received from us.

  4. Set the Permission Level to Restricted.

  5. Click Add.

Email me to let me know when you've done this and I can check everything is working as expected!

Step 6: Done!

That’s it. Once added, we’ll be able to securely access your Google Search Console data through the service account.

We’ll pull:

  • Pages where your traffic is declining.

  • Keyword opportunities your competitors are ranking for.

We’ll review these insights with you in a short walkthrough call.
